YEP Works – Building Pathways to Economic Opportunity

YEP Works continues to be a vital work-based learning and job training program, engaging young people aged 16 to 24 and directly addressing critical workforce development gaps in New Orleans. Last fiscal year alone, 115 YEP Works participants gained essential work readiness training, gaining invaluable insights from a diverse range of businesses and entrepreneurs who shared their expertise.

Further enhancing their practical experience, our students are now actively volunteering through a new partnership with the New Orleans Sports Foundation, contributing to the 2025 Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships at the Smoothie King Center. This comprehensive program sets them on a path toward improved

economic well-being, successful transitions to post-secondary education, decreased justice system involvement, and enhanced psychological health.  This program's investment in job readiness creates lasting impact, fostering self-sufficiency and brighter futures for our city's youth.
