YEP Mentors – Inspiring Journeys and Transformative Experiences!
Our community based YEP Mentors program continues to provide crucial guidance, reaching youth across 13 parishes from its hubs in Orleans and St. Charles Parish. Participants, referred through community partners to ensure support reaches those who need it most, are connected with a trained and dedicated Youth Advocate who provides supportive services, individualized goal setting, and case management.
This past season, mentees actively engaged in hiking, fishing, crawfish boils, creative arts and crafts, and sharing personal goals. Thanks to generous donors, dedicated YEP staff and mentors, we proudly sent three young
mentees on transformative Wilderness Adventures Camping trips to Wyoming and Colorado. These experiences fostered personal growth, confidence, teamwork, and resilience, providing invaluable opportunities for our youth to connect with nature and disconnect from technology. Watch our Mentors Video.
