How You Can Help At-Risk Youth and Young Adults

We have all seen the news coverage that paints a violent picture of youth in our city. But there is another story - youth who are working to turn their lives around to refrain from criminal activity and become contributing members to our community.  These youth are our clients.  From our beginnings, three years ago, YEP works to provide effective interventions addressing our community’s most pressing need, the positive development of at-risk youth and young adults. 

YEP supporters are people like you, who want to do something good for our community.

By supporting YEP, you join a community of people who have as their mission to improve the quality of life in the New Orleans Region by supporting at-risk youth and young adults. They believe in the value of these individuals and in their ability to grow and turn away from street crime and lost hopes. 

You can help in the following ways:

• Request YEP pamphlets and publications.
• Volunteer to tutor for NOPLAY. Call to schedule an interview.
• Request a YEP speaker for your organization or faith-based groups.
• Volunteer as a mentor at an area alternative program for teenagers.
